At college I trained in television production and found my way over to Australia in the late ’80s. I began working for SBS TV, a national network based in Sydney, where I operated large studio cameras and floor managed, eventually travelling across Australia as a sound recordist on many types of programmes. It was great fun!

During my time in Australia I also picked up freelance photography jobs and opened Gallery Xposure, a photography gallery, with a couple of photography mad friends.

In 2007 I came back to the UK and started my photography business in Norwich.

The early years of Media Imaging Solutions were challenging, as it was for many businesses during the economic downturn. A move to Cambridgeshire a few years ago made a positive difference to my turnover, and I have now exceeded over 50 customers - the majority of which are using my photography services on a regular basis.

I’m based in the beautiful country market town of St Ives. It’s so handy for photography work in Cambridge, Peterborough and London. For a few years now I have been running a networking group for local businesses. It has been wonderful for making not only business contacts but also many new friends.

I have won photography awards over the years, including the Australian/Nikon Photographer of the Year and the Norwich HEART photography competition twice. I am also a licentiate member of the National Photographic Society.
